Record of Work must reflect work done, or explanations for not doing planned work.
There must be Record of Work for each grade (or class within a grade) at the Primary Level, each Year Group at the Nursery Level, and for each subject at the Secondary level.
Entries must be precise, concise, in the past tense, and made at the end of each week; topics, subtopics and examples should be included as far as possible.
For Primary and Nursery Schools, Records of Work must be checked and signed weekly by the Divisional Heads or Year Group Heads and endorsed by the Head teacher, Deputy Head teacher or someone designated to do so.
As far as possible, subject components must be pulled together on the content page.
Entries should be recorded in the specific slots provided therein.
Teachers attending the University of Guyana or the Cyril Potter College of Education must make entries on their last working day of each week.
The Term and Week Ending must be indicated.
FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS:
Subject entries must be legibly initiated by the teacher concerned.
In cases where an examination was administered or revision was done, the areas of focus must be precisely stated.
Heads of Department and Deputy Head teachers should sign the Records of Work at the end of each week.
Head teachers must take periodic checks of Record of Work.
Separate Records of Work are to be kept for the Upper School.
Four (4) set of Record of Work should be kept as follows:
1 Set for Grades 7-9
1 Set for Grades 10-11
1 Set for Grades 12
1Set for Grade 13
