Ms. Leaphart (Leepart)
Greetings,
I’m so excited to welcome you to ECMS and to be your principal this year! Starting middle school is a big step, and I want you to know that you’ve got this, and I'm here to help you every step of the way. Middle school is a time to grow, not just in what you learn in class, but also in who you are as a person. At ECMS, we believe that you matter. Our teachers care about you, and they work hard to make learning fun, clear, and meaningful. You’ll have adults here who listen, support, and encourage you. We’re all learning together, and we want you to feel proud, confident, and excited to be part of the Indian family.
You may feel nervous now, but I promise, middle school will be an amazing journey filled with new friends, great teachers, and awesome opportunities. I can’t wait to watch you grow this year. My door is always open. You can reach me at dekima.leaphart@cowetaschools.net
Remember, you belong here! I am so glad that you're part of our school family! Let’s make it a great year! You just can’t hide that Indian Pride!
Ms. Leaphart
We are ECMS!

We want to introduce you to an important part of our school community: our School Resource Officer (SRO). The primary purpose of an SRO is to ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
What does our SRO do at ECMS?
Our School Resource Officer (SRO) is here to help keep our school safe and support students every day. Here’s how:
Keeps Us Safe: The SRO is on campus to help protect us and handle any problems or emergencies that come up.
Stops Problems Early: By getting to know students and being involved, the SRO helps stop issues before they get bigger.
Teaches About Safety: The SRO helps us understand important rules, safety tips, and how to make good choices.
Supports Students: You can always talk to the SRO. They’re here to listen, give advice, and help you with any problems.
Responds in Emergencies: If something serious happens, the SRO is trained to respond quickly and help keep everyone safe.
