At East Coweta Middle School, knowing and following school rules helps create a safe, respectful, and focused place to learn. As a student, it's important for you to understand the expectations around attendance, behavior, and dress code, because these things really do make a difference. Coming to school every day matters! When you’re here, you can participate in lessons, ask questions, work with others, and keep up with your assignments. Being present = staying on track and reaching your goals. How you behave at school affects everyone. By following the rules, treating others with respect, and making good choices, you help make ECMS a place where all students feel safe and ready to learn. Positive behavior builds trust and a strong school community.
This is just a quick overview. Be sure to check the CCSS Student Handbook for full details.
You may be able to exempt course finals by having great grades, great attendance, and great behavior!

Key points of our code of conduct include:
Respect for Others: You must respect fellow students and school staff.
Adherence to Policies: You are expected to follow behavior policies and rules established by the Board and our school.
