6/2/22: Drive belt tension found to be at 30 lbs. The adjustment turnbuckle was adjusted (so the number of visible threads decreased) until the 7/16" deflection required only 15 pounds.
6/24/22: The entire saw was sprayed with degreaser and then pressure washed. Rails and all chains cleaned and lubricated with transmission fluid. 17 grease fittings greased. The feed wiper was removed, cleaned, and re-soaked in transmission fluid. The drive belt tension was not checked, but should be at the next use. Lube water was drained from the hose.
6/6/23: Engine hour reading: 56.9 hours. The entire saw was sprayed with degreaser and then pressure washed. Rails and all chains cleaned and lubricated with transmission fluid. 19 grease fittings greased. The feed wiper was removed, cleaned, and re-soaked in transmission fluid. The drive belt tension was not checked, but should be at the next use. Lube water was drained from the hose.
6/6/23: The bracket beneath the elbow of the log turner was found broken at the welds during cleaning. In the picture, the left weld has nearly failed, the right weld has failed completely. It is unknown how long it has been like this. Woodmizer was contacted to see what needed to be done about it.
4/3/24: Kyle with Woodmizer came down and went through the mill for servicing.
6/11/24: Kyle had to return -- engine was smoking, even when belt was not tensioned. The brake was loosened a bit. When set properly, the brake should stop the blade within 5-to 10 seconds after the auto clutch is released. The govener engine speed was also adjusted higher to prevent bogging down the engine when under full load.
6/19/24: Engine hour reading: 69.1 hours. The entire saw was sprayed with degreaser and then pressure washed. Rails and all chains cleaned and lubricated with transmission fluid. 17 grease fittings greased. The feed wiper was removed, cleaned, and re-soaked in transmission fluid. The drive belt tension was not checked, but should be at the next use.
