Cornell University unmanned air systems
Building friendships & sometimes planes
Come chat with us on Zoom here (Pass is cuair if asked)! We'll be online from 12-4PM ET.
Hey! We're CUAir.
We're an interdisciplinary student-run team that designs, builds, and operates a custom search and rescue unmanned aerial system (UAS). We are the world champions of an international unmanned aerial vehicle competition.
CUair's current competition UAS: Orion
Orion is CUAir's most ambitious system to date, with a wingspan of 3 meters, max speed of 110 mph, and endurance of 40 min. Orion is completely custom built using a carbon fiber composite, hosts a suite of industry level software including our autonomous flight and imaging systems, and has possibly once completed a barrel roll ;)

Women in Hardware panel
We have a Women in Hardware Panel coming up on October 8th at 7:00PM!
Join us for an insightful discussion with our hardware engineer panel of women on CUAir and CUAir alumni and learn about accomplishments women in hardware are making, and the obstacles they overcome and face in a field that they are significantly under-represented in.
We welcome and encourage everyone to come, listen and learn! Our panel will be discussing A LOT- acquiring internships, collaborating in teams, finding their purpose, what it’s like to transition to leadership, things they wished they knew coming in as a freshman. We will be answering any questions you might have at the end of the session, including those about our recruitment process!
