I grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam which is a big city in southern, Vietnam. I have an older brother who is 7 years older than me but there is no gap between us. Growing up in a traditional Asian family has shaped my personality to be highly moral and ethical, humble, passionate, and decisive with every decision in life. Therefore, they play an important role in supporting and motivating my dream in dietetics, especially studying and working in the US.
In high school, I participated in a charity club named "Three lucky leaves" that normally organized and raised funds for homeless people, orphanages, elderly people, and people with disabilities. The purpose of our club is to spread the empathy of human beings to all people by doing charity and spending our youth being responsible and energetic. Moreover, more and more people can receive better education and have the opportunity to change their lives. This is one of the reasons why I chose Dietetics as my major to keep on taking care of and motivating humane and healthy communities.

I love traveling and tasting different foods from various cultures. Luckily, I have been to Thailand and the middle of Vietnam in which foods and landscapes represent two different cultures.
After finishing high school in Vietnam, I decided to take a crucial step in my academic journey to open not only my knowledge but also about humans from all over the world. Therefore, America, especially Concordia College, was my next stop in which I found myself becoming mature in thoughts, soft and hard skills, and social adaptability. Concordia has prepared me with necessary knowledge and skills in Nutrition and Dietetics that make me feel confidently ready for the future Dietetic Internship. Moreover, Concordia is such a tight-knit community that people support and stand for each other no matter what origins we are from. Therefore, being responsibly engaged in the world is what I am after four years in Concordia.
