May Happenings

It is hard to believe we are in the last month of school! We are looking forward to spending the last couple of weeks learning and growing with our students. We will finish the year strong and celebrate with our Kindergarten Graduation on the last day of school!

A Peek at Our Monthly Curriculum

In Reading, we are finishing the school year with Unit 11, Exploring Art. Students will be introduced to artists from different time periods, countries and cultures.

Writing/Phonics

In Phonics, students are practicing their double letter spelling and decoding. We will also continue to build on our writing skills, by labeling, editing our work and making sure we are writing a complete sentence.

Math

In Math, students will continue working on their addition and subtraction skills.

Science

In Science, students will observe and identify the dependence of animals on air, water, food, space, and shelter.

Social Studies

In Social Studies, students will identify basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter .
