We are looking forward to all the exciting events coming up in May, as we finish up the school year! Don't forget we are celebrating our Kindergarten Graduation on May 23rd!
In Reading, students are learning about non fiction text, by picking out important information about a particular topic. We will look at books about farm animals, zoo animals and ocean animals. We will use different visuals and chart to write down important facts that we find.
In Phonics, students are learning about long vowels and adding the "magic e" on the end of certain words. Continue to practice their Rainbow Words each day!
In Math, students will be learning about measurement. We will practice comparing items that are longer and shorter, as well as items that are heavier and lighter.
In Science, we will observing and identifying how animals depend on air, water, space, food and shelter. We will also look at how animals have adapted to survive in their environment.
In Social Studies, students will be learning about Social Studies skills, including the importance of following rules, as we discuss bike and pool safety.
