Changing Passwords
on MacBooks

Jamf Connect / Microsoft Azure:

Login to MacBook:

Even though we give the option of MacBooks here at Concord, we still use your Microsoft account for account creation on the MacBook!
We use a product called Jamf Connect to sync your Microsoft Azure password with your MacBook's local account password!
Jamf Connect will talk with Microsoft Azure to pull over password expiration dates, password policy strengths, etc.

Look below to see how these two behave when it comes to password changes, how to change passwords, etc:

Password Expiration:

If you ever receive the following notification then your password has most likely expired!
There are two methods you can use to change your expired password!

Method #1 - Jamf Connect Menu App

Reset Password with Menu App:

In the Status Bar of your MacBook, you should see the Jamf Connect icon!
1.) Select the Jamf Connect icon

2.)  Select Change Password

3.) Input your Current/Previous Password

4.) Input your New Password

5.) Verify the New Password

6.) Select Change Password at the bottom

Your password has been properly reset!

If you run into issues with this process, please put in a Get Help ticket and Technology will help you as soon as possible!

Click the arrows to move through the provided screenshots!

Potential Error Message:

If you are receiving this error message, then you are failing to meet one of the password requirements:

Method #2 - Initial Login Screen

Reset Password with Login Screen:

Thing method will only work if your password has expired and not for simply wanting to change your password!

Follow these steps to reset your expired password at login:

1.) Restart the MacBook

2.) Input your Concord Email and Password

3.) Microsoft will ask for you to set a New Password

4.) After the New Password has been set, Jamf Connect will ask you to input your Previous Password so it can sync the two together!

Your password has been properly reset!
