Digital Collaboration

Here you will find videos on how to use digital tools in a collaborative way!

Kami

We all know that Kami is great for annotating PDFs, but have we ever considered have students work collaboratively on the same Kami file? Consider checking out this video for ideas on having small groups work together on marking up a text, labeling maps, models and math problems plus much more! The text, voice and video comment features are a huge plus!

Google Docs/Slides/Sheets

These three tools offer a few small, but mighty tools useful for student collaboration. If you are looking for proofreading, commenting and/or tools for group work/projects, check out this video!

Jamboard

Jamboard was built to be a collaborative workspace. It is meant to be sort of a brainstorming space. Of course it can be used for so much more than that! It’s simple, but mighty and lends it to many different uses. It's a great tool to get out ideas and thoughts.

Flipgrid

Flipgrid is a great tool for giving our students an outlet to share their voice. One of the most underrated uses of Flipgrid is its ability to have students respond to each other. Creating a topic to have students reflect on each other's responses is very simple and a powerful collaboration strategy.

WeVideo

WeVideo is great for video projects. Students can record video with their Chromebook, phone or any recording device as long as the video can be stored in Google Drive. In WeVideo you have the option to combine videos, add background music, insert text or images and much more.
