Application and Registration Steps

To decide what to take, work with your school counselor! Your counselor can help put together a plan that is a mixture of Dual Enrollment and AP courses to meet the college general education CalGETC requirement.

Steps to Dual Enrollment:

Create a CCCApply account and complete the application for Fall 2025.
- If you took a Dual course in Fall or Spring 2025, you can skip to step 3.
- If you are already taking 2 courses in full term Fall 2025, you cannot add a Fall Late Term.
New students: Create a DualEnroll account and follow the steps.
- Parent/Guardian confirms in DualEnroll (once only).
Students select courses in DualEnroll
- Up to 2 courses in the full term Fall (1 course only in Late Start Fall).
  1. Full term Fall: Some students who've successfully completed Dual courses may overload by selecting more courses in Fall. A Norco College counselor will review and approve or deny.
- Course Type: Select Online or High School courses only.
  1. College Campus courses are not Dual Enrollment, but are Concurrent Enrollment. Concurrent Enrollment process is different than Dual Enrollment and is not for most students. See the FAQ for more information regarding Concurrent.
ERHS/Norco College approves students through DualEnroll.
- Student upload transcripts if needed for courses with prerequisites.
Students get registered into courses by Norco College.
- The furthest you can go in completing your steps is when you see the note: "College: Hold for Submission"
- Once it says "Complete" in DualEnroll, you've been enrolled in the course. You'll be notified of your registration into your course(s) via email/text.
CANVAS, MyPortal, and RCCD Email
- One week prior to the start of term, be sure to log in to CANVAS, MyPortal, and your RCCD email with the instructions HERE. If you've followed the steps in "Accounts" and continue to have issues with accessing any of these, contact Norco College IT.

Dropping a Course

If you no longer want to take the course you initially selected, you are able to drop the course.

Log in to your DualEnroll account and click on "Status". To the right of the course you want to drop, click on the "Drop" button. Be sure to note the drop dates without a W and with a W.

In DualEnroll, only select ONLINE or HIGH SCHOOL type courses as listed below. COLLEGE CAMPUS courses are Concurrent Enrollment and are a different program than Dual Enrollment. For more information about Concurrent, see the FAQ.

Fall Late Start 2025

Course offerings are subject to change. Courses disappear from DualEnroll when they become full. Check DualEnroll regularly.

Most courses are UC/CSU transferable (many meeting a-g requirements). Some courses also meet high school graduation requirements when taken in the correct term. Speak to your school counselor for more information.

8 units maximum for the fall term for most students (between full term and late start term). 1 course only for Fall Late Start term.

Refer to Course Descriptions for unit of course, transferability to UCs or CSUs, etc.

8 units (2 courses) maximum for the fall term for most students. Some students may potentially overload.

Refer to Course Descriptions for unit of course, transferability to UCs or CSUs, etc.

Most courses are offered online. MAT-1A, MUS-55, MUS-67, and some GUI-47 courses are offered in person.

*Prerequisites:

ENGL-C1000: completion of semester 1 of 11th grade with weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.
ENG-1B: completion of ENGL-C1000 or ENG-1A with C or higher
MAT-1A: completion of AP Precalc or Precalc with C or higher
MAT-1B: completion of MAT-1A or AP Calc AB with C or higher
MAT-70A: completion of Integrated Math 3 with C or higher
MUS-55 and 67: audition required
PSYC-2: completion of PSYC-1 or AP Psych
STAT-C1000: completion of Integrated Math 3 with C or higher

What is CalGETC?

The CalGETC is a general education pathway for California Community College students to fulfill lower-division college requirements.

You'll want to pick courses to fulfill CalGETC areas, but would not want to take more than needed.

Additionally, consider your current AP courses (passing the AP exam with 3 or higher) to determine the Dual Enrollment courses to take.

For example: if you are taking AP Psychology and pass the AP exam, you may want to take another discipline within Area 4 and not choose a PSYC course if you do not intend to be a Psychology major.
