FREE HIGHER EDUCATION UNDER R.A. 10931
The Republic Act 10921 also known as the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act of 2017” protects and promotes the right of all Filipino students to accessible quality education by mandating the non-collection of tuitions and other school fees for units enrolled in. The Camarines Norte State College adheres to this mandate and will not require students to pay tuitions and other school fees except for those students who:
have already obtained a bachelor’s degree or comparable undergraduate degree from any public or private HEI;
fail to comply with the admission and/or retention policies of the school;
fail to complete their bachelor’s degree or comparable undergraduate degree within a year after the period prescribed in the program. (R.A. 10931 Rule II Section 6)
voluntarily opt out of the free higher education provision.
Students who are not eligible to avail of the Free Higher Education provision shall be charged tuition and other school fees as determined by the Governing Boards of the school. However, they may apply for financial assistance or discounts through the Institutional Merit Scholarship Program.
