Fee Waivers
Please contact your School Counselor, if you believe you may qualify for a fee waiver.
Students can only receive 2 ACT fee waivers throughout their high school career.
You cannot use a fee waiver for late registration!
Eligible students can also receive up to 4 College Application Fee Waivers that can be used for participating universities that will accept them to waive the application fee.

How to Register for the ACT
Step 1: Go to actstudent.org
Step 2: Set up an ACT Student Web Account.
Step 3: Make sure you register for the ACT PLUS Writing.
Step 4: Print your admission ticket and bring it with you to the test center on test day.

Juniors who are administered the ACT at Hough can use this score for college admission. This is an official ACT. To gain access to your scores you must:
Go to actstudent.org
Click on Create a New Account.
Click No when asked if you have ever registered for the ACT. Click YES, when asked if you have taken the ACT.
Follow the directions moving forward.
*Note: You will need either your ACT ID # (located on the paper copy of your scores), or your Social Security Number to link your scores to your new account.

Step 3: Select the test you would like to take

PSAT
All 10th and 11th Grade students will take the PSAT in the Fall of each school year.
Students can get PSAT/NMSQT scores in December, 2025 depending on their location.
If you provided your email address on your answer sheet on test day, you'll receive an email notifying you of when your scores are available.
The email will have a unique access code that will connect you to your scores online. If you haven't already done so, you'll be asked to set up a free College Board account before you can view your scores.
