The steps below will assist you in enrollment and course registration.
Online Registration For 2025-2026 will reopen in Mid-July 2025 and will be handled by the CMS Student Placement Office.
Please check the CMS Student Placement Website for when that online new enrollment link becomes available.
If you have any questions regarding enrollment, please call CMS Student Placement at 980-343-5335.
In addition to completing the CMS Enrollment Packet, you would need to have with you the following documents:
Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
Immunization Records
Proof of Residency. Please note: if you cannot produce a current utility bill, a home or apartment lease contract will suffice until you can provide a current utility bill (required before starting school).
Last Report Card / Unofficial Transcript
Driver's License/Identification of Registering Parent/Guardian

Please bring the completed, paper CMS Enrollment Packet and required documents to:

CMS will process new student enrollments in the order they are received. Parents will receive an assignment letter once registration has been processed and is complete.
Once the enrollment has been processed and completed, you will be contacted by a West Charlotte staff member to begin course selection after August 1st.
*PLEASE NOTE: Families will be unable to select courses without the following:
A copy of the student's transcript (rising 10-12), or report card (rising 9th). You can fax these documents to Jasmine Edwards at 980-343-6049 or email them to jasminen.edwards@cms.k12.nc.us.
