WIDA screenings start in August and continue through the school year as new students enroll at South Meck. If your student has newly enrolled the US, we will measure their level of English proficiency. We want to be able to support your student as they learn the English language.

•Determines eligibility for state testing accommodations
‒Below proficiency level 5.0 on the Reading subtest of the WIDA Screener
‒5.0 NOT eligible for testing accommodations
