South Meck High School is excited to offer the ASVAB next week to our 11th and 12th graders. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a comprehensive test that helps determine students' suitability for careers in or out of the military.
We try to offer the ASVAB at least once per school year. Students will be required to complete a google form to sign up to take the ASVAB. More information will be released through ParentSquare.
Students and schools are also encouraged to take advantage of a free career exploration program that links personal interests with demonstrated aptitudes from the 9 ASVAB subtests, half of which relate to vocational skills, in addition to math and verbal skills. Even if you are not interested in a career in the military, this test will give you important information as you begin to plan for your future. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program includes a validated aptitude test and interest assessment. The results are used to guide career exploration using our career planning tools.
Students who take the ASVAB are not required to enlist in the military. South Meck is not endorsing or recruiting for the military services. We are offering this opportunity to interested students.
