Ms. Lassiter-McCullers, our CTE Instructional Facilitator, brings a rich tapestry of professional experience and academic rigor to the Career and Technical Education team at Hopewell High School. With a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from St. Augustine's University, she has further honed her leadership and management skills with a Master of Business Administration from DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management and a Graduate Teacher Licensure from N.C. A&T State University, where she was recognized as a Walderon 4.0 Scholar. Additionally, she earned a Graduate Certificate in School Administration and Leadership from Gardner-Webb University, adding to her robust educational portfolio.
Her career spans over 38 years across diverse sectors, including restaurant management, construction, retail, and animal health care, where she held roles from administrative assistant to project management. This extensive industry background enriches her teaching and provides valuable real-world insights to her students.
Transitioning to education after a commendable tenure in various industries for 21 years, Ms. Lassiter-McCullers has dedicated the past 17 years to fostering future professionals through her role in CTE. She joined the Hopewell High School faculty one year ago and is committed to nurturing the potential within each student through her expertise and real-world experiences.
In her critical role as the CTE Instructional Facilitator, Ms. Lassiter-McCullers plays a key part in enhancing the quality and delivery of CTE programs. As part of her responsibilities, she leads in the development and implementation of curriculum strategies through Professional Learning Communities on campus, along with managing resources that align with educational practices to meet district, state, and federal guidelines. She coaches teachers to refine their instructional techniques, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver engaging and effective lessons within the framework of Career and Technical Education. Additionally, she oversees the procurement and organization of classroom, teacher, and student supplies and materials, guaranteeing that the learning environment is well-resourced and conducive to student success. Her management of the Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) also highlights her dedication to providing students with leadership opportunities and real-world application of their skills in various competitions and events. Through her efforts, she is pivotal in preparing students for successful careers and higher education pathways in their chosen fields.
