Ms. Nightengale is a dynamic member of the Hopewell High School CTE faculty, bringing years of educational experience alongside a diverse range of experiences in both the culinary and medical fields to her teaching role. She earned her Associate in Applied Science in Medical Assisting from Southeastern College and a Bachelor of Arts in Kitchen Management & International Cuisine from the Art Institute. Ms. Nightengale is currently enhancing her expertise by pursuing a Graduate Certification in Family and Consumer Science Education and a Master of Science in Nutrition at Appalachian State University. She is a nationally certified massage and neuromuscular therapist and holds various certifications in food safety and culinary arts, including being a SERV Safe Certified Food Protection Manager, Instructor, and Proctor.
Before joining Hopewell High School, where she has taught for the past 3 years, Ms. Nightengale spent 10 years in various roles within the culinary industry, including as Garde Manger at Block & Grinder and various roles at Luca's Modern Italian Kitchen in Charlotte. Her commitment to community service is evident from her extensive work with non-profits, providing culinary programming to support local communities and using food as a tool for unification and education.

In her personal life, Ms. Nightengale is an avid enthusiast of arts and adventure. Her hobbies include photography, painting, making candles and soaps, cooking, and engaging in thrilling activities such as jet skiing and rock climbing. She treasures time spent with her family, including her two children, Cyrus and Adison, and her mischievous dog, Storm, affectionately known as Fat Momma.
