Mr. Lowe is our CTE Pathway Development Coordinator. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Managament and Marketing from Anderson University, a Graduate Certificate in Business and Marketing Education from NC State University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Anderson University.
Before transitioning into education, Mr. Lowe had a notable 30 year career in the business sector, managing operations and leading teams as large as 175 employees at companies such as GameStop, EB Games, Barnes & Noble College Booksellers, Target, Hertz, and The Walt Disney Company. His business acumen is complemented by several professional accolades including:

Prior to joining Hopewell High School for the 2024-2025 school year, Mr. Lowe was a dedicated educator at Garinger High School, where he taught Hospitality & Tourism I & II, Entrepreneurship, Principles of Business & Finance, Financial Planning I & II, Accounting I & II, Microsoft Excel, and Introduction to Real Estate over his five year tenure.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he served as District PLC Lead for CTE Financial Education, co-advisor for DECA and FBLA, assistant baseball coach, and continues to serve as the College Board SAT Weekend Testing Coordinator for Garinger High School. His contributions to financial literacy education were recognized when he received the "Innovation in Financial Litercy Education Award" from Truist Bank and EVERFI for organizing a Financial Literacy Day for students at Garinger and working to ensure students had tools to learn about financial litercy topics including credit, investments, and budgeting.
As part of his role as the CTE Pathway Development Coordinator, Mr. Lowe serves as the CTE testing coordinator, ensuring that all CTE programs meet accountability standards and are aligned with state and national requirements. He actively works with students, faculty, and the community to foster growth in the CTE program, ensuring that the curriculum not only remains current but also provides meaningful engagement and career opportunities for students.
He is guided by Walt Disney's words: "We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things because we are curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths," a philosophy that fuels his dedication to educational innovation and community involvement.
Outside of work, Mr. Lowe enjoys video games, playing the piano, and participates actively in travel, music, movies, political debates, reading and church life. He and his wife are celebrating 20 years of marriage, and they cherish time spent with their two miniature schnauzers, Hazel and Fitzgerald.
