Welcome to Butler High School Theatre!

At Butler High School we offer Beginning, Intermediate, Honors Proficient, and Honors Advanced level theatre and technical theatre courses. Students will receive honors level credit for Proficient and Advanced level courses.

Each Fall, we participate in the North Carolina Theatre Conference High School Play Festival. This is a mandatory class assignment for Proficient/Advanced level classes. It is a two day festival where students will participate in one 30-minute play, and engage in watching 15 others!

Spring Musical the BHS Performing Arts Department produces a musical after school each Spring. This year looks a little different unfortunately, but we are still proud to partner with the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and participate in this years Blumey Awards.

Materials: Pencil, Large Eraser, Small Binder with Pockets (1” Recommended), loose leaf paper, Black or Blue Ink Pen, Chromebook (once assigned by school).

Donations: If you would like to purchase supplies for the classroom, feel free to view Mrs. Pappas' Classroom Wish List on Amazon. Any purchased supplies will be sent directly to the school!
