The Supply Chain Management Academy at Kirkwood High School is for students who are interested in learning how products move from creation to the customer. Supply chain management focuses on planning, producing, storing, and transporting goods—everything from food and clothing to technology and manufacturing materials. Students explore careers in management, logistics, distribution, and transportation while gaining real-world skills used by businesses every day.
Through hands-on, problem-based learning integrated with core classes, students tackle real supply chain challenges and build critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills. Academy students have the unique opportunity to work in a variety of roles at the Ed Foundation’s onsite Teacher Warehouse, where they gain experience in inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics, and customer service. Along with networking with industry professionals, students graduate prepared for college and high-demand careers such as logistics coordinator, supply chain analyst, operations manager, purchasing agent, and transportation planner.
