For over 20 years, Clover School District and York Technical College (YTC) have partnered to offer our students opportunities to earn college credit through Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs and the Middle College Program. These courses require the same academic rigor as YTC campus course, contributing to students' official college transcripts.

CTE Programs at the Center for Career Innovation (CCI) offer Dual Enrollment credit and industry certifications. Courses are taught by CCI teachers meeting YTC qualifications.

CCI Application: 2026-2027 YTC EXCELS/Dual Enrollment Application
If the applications are not complete and submitted by the above deadline, the DE class will be removed from a student's course requests and a high school class will be substituted.
Eligibility:
First generation college students
GPA: 3.0 - 3.7
Good attendance, grades, and behavior
Application Deadlines:
Current 11th graders: March 9, 2026
Current 10th graders: March 9, 2026
The Utility Line Worker Program is for current 11th grade students pursuing careers in Electrical or Telecommunications Industries. Training is at the Floyd D. Johnson Center at York High School. Graduates earn Basis Utility Line Worker Certification for entry-level roles with companies like York Electric Co-op and Duke Energy.
The Welding Program is for current 11th grade students pursuing careers in Welding or Machine Tool Technology. Seniors attend morning classes at YTC, returning for afternoon high school classes. Graduates earn a Manufacturing Fundamentals Certification for Welding or Machine Tool Technology.
The Building Construction Program is for current 11th grade students pursuing careers in the Building Construction Trades like HVAC or Residential/Commercial Carpentry. The Building Construction programs at YTC are accredited by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Institute (HBI).
Requires a minimum of three courses of CCI's Building Construction Program.
For current 10th and 11th grade students planning to continue at YTC or transfer to a university. Accepted students take transferable courses such as College Orientation 101, English 101, Psychology, College Algebra, or Intro to Chemistry.
Current 11th graders:
Take College 101 in fall of senior year; spend spring semester at YTC.
Current 10th graders:
Take College 101 in fall of junior year; spend their senior year at YTC.
