The Datalogic QD2430 is currently the only scanner approved for use with our technology. All other scanners will be deprecated in the future and will not work.
The most common issue is the scanner stops functioning and either handing off items or scanning them into a cubby.
First check if there is an outage in the Outage-Ops channel. If no outages are reported, first check the tether box is powered and has internet.
msg: “Check order status”
Most of the time this error means that the order is in the wrong state for the action (canceled, already handed off, etc.). It could also mean you are trying to scan a station ticket for a virtual brand order, in which you’d need to scan the manifest ticket.
msg: “Please pair your device again”
USB connection between the scanner and box is lost by the operating system.
Scanner will need to be ‘re-paired’ with the Bin or Handoff code
msg: “Please Repeat Action”
The scanner needs to scan the bar code 3 times. If using cubbies, this means the scanner needs to be unlocked.

Make sure you have a PoE (Power over Ethernet) cable and port – scanner boxes are powered by ethernet.
Plug the ethernet cord in the scanner box and wait 15-30 seconds
The box should produce a long chime, plus you will see green and yellow lights through the holes in the box -- this means it has power and is working.
Log in to facilities.cloudkitchens.com as a user with permission to update passwords
Use the search bar to find the facility
Enter the Processing Center the scanner box will be associated with.
Dropdown the Processing Station and click Show QR Code
Treat the code as the "bin code" for the handoff scanner
Advise the facility team to save this static code, in case they need it again in the future

Scan the facility QR code.
→ Go to facilities.cloudkitchens.com as a user with permission to update passwords
→ Use the search bar to find the facility
→ Click the Facility Settings link in the top right corner
→ Click “Show Facility Code” button
→ Scan the QR code that appears with any attached scanner
If you need to power cycle the tether box - please disconnect the ethernet cord and plug it in. This will cycle the device to reconnect.
