I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It was wonderful to meet so many of you at Meet the Teacher night on Wednesday.
Literacy update,
This week in Fundations we are moving on to Unit 1. In the first week of Unit one we will review the letter Tt and introduce Bb and Ff. In their homework folders I have added the parent note, verbal pathways for printing the three letters and 3 colouring sheets to review the letters. I will also add a laminated writing grid so they can practice printing the letters.
We will begin learning some trick words this week. This weeks words are I and see.
Numeracy update,
This week we will continue to discuss the concepts of more and less and will be introducing the number 1.
Terry Fox Run
On the 25th we will be participating in the Terry Fox Run . We will be collecting donations to support the Terry Fox Foundation. You can send donations into the class or through this link. https://schools.terryfox.ca/GlenStewartPrimarySchool
Reminders
- When ordering from the lunch programs please make sure to send utensils and a straw if your child would like to use one.
- Please make sure to send in an extra pair of clothes.
