Hi everyone,
What a beautiful Fall day we had today. I hope everyone got to spend some time outside today!
This week will be full of Halloween Fun! Our kitchen area has been turned into a Witches Kitchen where students will make a witches brew following the recipes given. Later in the week I will invite them to make their own recipes using the ingredients provided. This is always a hit with the kids!
We will also be finishing up the first half of Unit 1 in Fundations. This week we will continue with plane line round letters /d/ and /s/. At the end of this week and the beginning of next I will be testing student knowledge of the letters we have worked on so far. Please take a few minutes each night to review the letter that have been sent home.
On Friday, students are allowed to wear their costumes to school. Please leave any accessories at home so that there is not a panic when children get home if something is left at school. No masks or play weapons allowed. We will have a small party in the morning after recess and then the children will participate in "Spooktacular" during their gym class next week. We will also do a parade of the classes with our costumes on. I will be providing cookies for the children. If anyone else wants to bring something please let me know.
Math: We will continue to work on games to solidify our knowledge of numbers to 5 and we will add in some fun Halloween patterns.
