Students have filled our WOW board with over 150 instances of amazing choices, including being prepared, greeting one another kindly, raising their hand, waiting their turns, and helping another student.  Way to go 5B!  We will be walking to Mulberry Park on Thursday, May 15th for a couple of hours in the afternoon as their reward.

• May 19th - Victoria Day (no classes for students)

• May 20th-23rd - Book Fair (BOGO free, no online options)

• May 20th - final day to purchase a Patrick Guindon print

• May 23rd - Provincial Heritage Fair @ East Link Centre (C.G., J.M., Br.M., and T.O.)

• May 27th - Chocolate Bar Bingo

• June 4th - End of Year Field Trip to MacPhail Woods

• June 6th - Last day of school for students (at Sherwood Elementary only)

• June 6th - Report Cards go Home

What a busy week it was for students, parents,  staff last week.  Thank you so much to all you parents who volunteered your time to make our Play On Sherwood fundraiser an amazing event.  Thank you to all the parents who bought tickets and/or shared the event via social media.  

We are into our final five weeks of school for this school year.  That means that I will be busy with one final round of formal testing in reading, writing, and math.  While there are no parent teacher interviews with this term, I am more than happy to meet with you if you would like to discuss the transition to grade 6 and/or how to avoid a «summer slide» in academics.  Please send me an email sooner than later.
