French :
We are writing biographies this week and next week. Students have chosen a Canadian Winter Olympic athelete, past or present. We are studying ER verbs; past tense, present tense, and future tense.
English :
We will be doing guided reading in English to work on reading strategies. Students will be working on researching and informational writing as well.
Integrated Curriculum :
We are beginning HERITAGE FAIR! This is a family project. Students will need support from home in identifying a topic that is relevant to your family. This could be your culture, an important person in your family, a historic event, a special recipe or piece of clothing, a sport or music or art that is connected to your family, or anything else. What you and your child choose to present is up to you, however, I suggest that you have easily attainable information, artifacts, pictures, or maps to help with your research. You can help your student with their research at home. I will be helping them at school with developing their topic, translating their research to French, preparing their TRIFOLD, preparing their oral presentation. Students will have 1-2 hours a day for almost five weeks to work on this project at school.
