Basics
Google Calendar is a Calendar application build in the cloud and works like any other calendar. It will save your dates and give a notification when ask/necessary.
Google Calendar allows users to spend less time planning and more time doing with shareable calendars that integrate seamlessly with Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Sites, and Google Meet. Smart scheduling and mobile-friendly access allows users to quickly check coworkers' availability or or share their own, allowing for efficient collaboration.
Google Calendar can be found via the following ways:
Go to Google.com and press mail on the top left corner of the screen
Go to any Google page and click on the 9 blocks and select Calendar from the menu
When you’re in calendar there are several ways to create a calendar event.
On the left side you can click on the button Create + to create a new calendar event, focus time,
out of office time or a task. It’s also possible to click in the agenda on the time and date you want to create a new event. A popup will open and options to add the create the event will be shown.
If you want to book a event for the “today” you can press the “today” button on the top of the screen. Under the create button there is a little date picker, you can search the month you want and click on the day to see it.
You can also block days or weeks to make a big appointment or see what’s going in that time. For changing the block value you can use the < > arrows next to the today button on top row.
Below you can add guest; now there agenda will also be shown in your agenda view. This makes is easier to plan a date with several people, by checking their agenda.
Open a message, then click the arrow you
find on the bottom right of Gmail <
Click the Calendar icon.
Click a blank spot in the calendar to create a new event.
Click Add guests twice.
Select the option Base on your email to add the message’s senders and recipients as guests of the event.
Edit the event title, time and other information. Then click Save to send the invites.
In Gmail, open your Calendar on the right.
Click a calendar event to open it.
Near the guests list, click the envelope icon to create an email message with the event’s information and guests as its recipients.
In Calendar, click on a blank spot to create a new event.
If you toggle the mouse on the gray top bar, you can move the event window on the screen.
If you click the two bars on the left, the event is docked to the left column.
In Calendar, click the gear icon on the top right and select Settings.
Scroll down to View options and select View calendar side by side in Day view.
Changes are automatically saved.
Go back to Calendar.
On the top right selection dropdown, choose Day.
Go to Other Calendars on the left and use the + button, then select Subscribe to calendar to add others calendar to your view.
The same applies when using Meet with or when adding guests to a calendar invite.
In a calendar invite, click More options then select Propose a new time.
The new window will show a gray event you can move to a more suitable time frame and add a message before hitting Send proposal.
You can do the same in Calendar by clicking the arrow on the left of Yes / No / Maybe and then selecting Propose a new time.
