Dear Parents,
It was wonderful engaging with so many of you during Jumpstart and I can’t wait to see you next week for Badger Breakdown, new Parent Orientation, Parent Boot Camp, and the start of a GREAT school year!
Our team has been hard at work preparing for the start of the new year to make sure you and your students have everything you need to get off to a great start! This week teachers engaged in collaboration, training, and team-building to level up our skill and practice and create the best learning experiences for students. My hope is that our students will also level up this year as they grow in their learning, their friendships, and the many ways they shine in our school community.
About 60 students attended our first student event of the year with the ASB Kickoff BBQ. Students also enjoyed the launch of sports with girls' volleyball and boys' flag football. Enjoy a few pictures of teacher professional development and sports.
Next week we welcome students back on campus! On Monday or Tuesday, parents and students will attend Badger Breakdown (meet your cohort teacher, pick up books, take the yearbook picture, purchase a planner, and more!) On Wednesday, students will kick off the school year with Badger Boot Camp. Note Boot Cams is a half day (8:25-11:45). Thursday, August 28 is our first full day of school (8:25-3:15).
The entire CAMS team is here to serve, support, and create a school culture where ALL students feel connected, are seen, heard, and valued, grow and thrive! It’s going to be an awesome year!
On a more personal note…Thank you to the parents that have reached out with kind words and encouragement following our CEO’s announcement of my transition out of my role as Principal in July 2026. As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I want to assure you that I am fully committed to making this an amazing year of learning and growth. This is my 10th year serving in this role and I am so thankful for our families, students, and strong CAMS community. The process to hire the next Principal will take place over the next few months, ensuring plenty of time for a thoughtful search and smooth handoff. In the meantime, I am “all in” this year, focused on making great things happen for our students, families, and team!
Go Badgers!
Jennifer Morrow, Principal
