Seventh Grade Vocal Music meets every day for one quarter. During the first few weeks of the quarter, we will focus specifically on developing music literacy and singing together. Throughout the rest of the quarter, we will apply what we’ve learned to various units including digital music, ukuleles, and pop musicianship.
When students come to class, they can expect to be singing, moving around, playing instruments, reading, composing, improvising, and listening to music, and building community.
Our curriculum at Moore is built to help students meet both the national music standards of create, perform, respond, & connect, as well as the goals of the LPS Music Department. Our mission in 7th Grade Vocal Music at Moore is to give students a place to grow into excellent and enthusiastic musicians, to foster their creativity, and provide them a lifelong appreciation of music.
