Sixth grade vocal music meets every other day for one semester. Our primary focus is developing musical skills and knowledge and creating an excellent choral sound. Throughout the semester, we'll apply what we’ve learned to various units including show choir, drumming, and more!
When students come to class, they can expect to be singing, moving around, playing instruments, reading, composing, improvising, and listening to music, building community, and having lots of fun.
Our curriculum at Moore is built to help students meet both the national music standards of create, perform, respond, & connect, as well as the goals of the LPS Music Department. Our mission in 6th Grade Vocal Music at Moore is to give students a place to grow into excellent and enthusiastic musicians, to foster their creativity, and provide them a lifelong appreciation of music.
