Time Min/Max:
3-5 minutes: Live Film
2-3 minutes: Stop Motion, Animation
All projects must include:
Original footage: Your original film/animation/stop-motion.
Original score: Your original music created in either a notation or loop software. (MusicScore, Garageband, Soundtrap, Flat, etc.)
Visual Effects: Filming filters, Animated transitions, Cropping, Zoom in/out, etc.)
Audio Effects: Sound Effects, Unique use of sound that is non-traditional
iMovie trailer which includes clips from your final project that you will show on the last day of regular classes. You will share you final project during the finals time assigned to our class.
Optional inclusions:
Pre-recorded audio (Music and/or sound effects you export from your own library and use as underscore- that was not created by you.)
Pre-recorded film (Visual components not original to you such as clips from a movie or an animation such as something blowing up or melting, etc.)
Live Sound effects: Foley art
Using software outside of what we used in class.
Pre-recorded MIDI (MIDI loops not created by you)
Google or Microsoft software (google slides, powerpoint, etc.)
Pre-created templates (iMovie Trailer, etc.)
Green screen
Grading:
Because the basis of this class is to understand how using music technology can enhance artistic work, the grading for your final project will be balanced as such:
Visual Components: 30% of your score
Audio Components: 60% of your score
Organization: 10% (planning guide turned in prior to the start of your project)
