Groceries
Does the program provide weekly groceries
For the food, that is on your own. We built in a modest sustenance into the total stipend of $6000.
There are no real meal plans on campus during the summer and that is why we have you all (and all summer programs) on campus apartments with a kitchen and why we provide cookware (pots, pans, bowls, cooking utensils) and dinning ware (plates, cups, glasses, knives, forks, spoons).
So you can either go get groceries before you check in, or check in and then go get groceries. Most students wait until everyone in the apartment arrives so they can plan for common items like sugar, salt, pepper etc.
Program staff will facilitate planned weekly trips to the grocery store and we can talk about a general schedule to do so during the first week of the program. However, we will provide a trip to the grocery store/Walmart on the first Monday either before or after you check into the apartments.
Workout facilities
o Will I have access to workout facilities?
§ Yes, you will have access to campus fitness facilities, however, because you are not Clarkson students who pay fees, you may have to pay a modest fee to access, but last year the cohort got free access

So, once you arrive, remind me to have us submit a mileage reimbursement disbursement on your behalf from your departure city to Potsdam. After the program, we can submit another reimbursement, again, up to a total mileage payout of $500 (to program plus back home).
