The vine: "I am the true vine" (15:1).

The abiding place: "Abide in Me and I in you" (v. 4).

• My spirit!

Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the high and exalted One, Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I will dwell in the high and holy place, And with the contrite and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him. Malachi 2:15b Take heed then to your spirit.

• Calling on the Name of the Lord

1 Chronicles 21:26 And there David built an altar to Jehovah, and he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And he called on Jehovah, and He answered him with fire from heaven upon the altar of burnt offering.

Psalm 3:4 With my voice I call out to Jehovah, and He answers me from His holy mountain.
