In Nursery and Reception we use a combination of Facebook, ClassDojo and emails to inform parents and carers about our home learning.
Home learning plays a huge part in the progress children make at school. We set home learning challenges every week for the children to carry out with their families. These cover the whole curriculum and either consolidate learning from school or ask for children to produce items to use the following week in class.
Consolidating Learning From School

Home Learning we use in School
In Nursery, children learnt about the rhyme Humpty Dumpty. Home learning challenge set was to make a protective suit for Humpty to wear so that he didn't crack when falling off the wall.
Children made their protective suits for Humpty in at home and brought them into Nursery.
Children tested their protective suits in our science focused carpet session.
In Reception , children were focusing on The Three Little Pigs. A home learning challenge set was to make a strong house for the pigs to live in.
Children made their house and tested it with a hairdryer at home.
Children who had made a house using creative resources brought theirs in to show us. Some are displayed in our school office!
