Prime Areas of Learning
Communication & Language (C&L)
Developing effective communication and language skills is essential for children to be able to express themselves, form friendships and make progress in all areas of learning. All teaching activities and interactions with children are primarily focused on developing children's communication and language. Whether children speak English as their first language; are learning English as an additional language or have an SEND need, their communication and language development is paramount to us.
The children enjoy talking about the recipes and meals they make in our mud kitchen.
The children explore our water area and enjoy talking about how to create a water system that will reach the flower bed to water the plants.
The children visit our farm and enjoy listening to our Animal Welfare Officer Val explaining how to care for the animals.
Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED)
The children develop their teamwork skills by working together to build in our construction areas.
The children enjoy turn taking games with the parachute.
The children work together to draw around each other's shadows. They needed to listen to each other's instructions carefully.
