At Churchfield we recognise how vital children's mental well-being and happiness is and the huge impact it has on their learning and behaviour. As such, we prioritise teaching children strategies to understand and enhance their well-being. We have daily mindfulness sessions in Reception and also run a seven week 'Seeds of Happiness' programme which teaches children the science of happiness and strategies to manage their feelings in a positive way.
It is well-known that there is a direct link between exercise levels and mental health. We understand that the more children move around and exercise, the more likely it is that they will be healthy and happy young people.
