Our Nursery
Our Nursery is a self contained unit with spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Churchfield Nursery has 60 spaces; 30 spaces in the morning session and 30 spaces in the afternoon session. We offer full time Nursery places to children with an active 30 hour code (for working parents) and this is funded by the Government. Full time Nursery children, with an active 30 hour code, are allocated 2 spaces (a morning and afternoon place).
Nursery age - Children start Nursery in the September after their 3rd birthday. You apply for a place in October ready for starting Nursery the following September. (e.g. A child turns 3 years old in June 2022. You apply for their Nursery place in October 2021 ready for them to start Nursery in September 2022).
'Rising Three's' provision - 'Rising Three's' are children who turn 3 years old during Autumn term (September to December). If we still have Nursery places in December, we offer a January start to 'Rising Three' children. This means they have 18 months with us in Nursery. (e.g. A child turns 3 years old in September 2021. You apply for their Nursery place in October 2021. If we have spaces, we can offer them a place to start Nursery in January 2022 and they will stay with us until July 2023).
Our Reception
Our Reception unit is joined to the main building of the school. It has spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments. We have two classrooms which hold 30 children each and we are lucky enough to have an extra classroom which we use for lots of different purposes, like group work and interventions.
