The art studios are open daily from 8am for students to use the facilities. Students are also permitted to use the facilities at recess and lunch time. GCSE students are encouraged to come at least twice a week to maintain high standards.
Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday from 3.45pm until 5.00pm. No student is permitted to work in the art department without a member of staff present.
A Level students are permitted to use the department during their study periods.

Young people across the country are spending Saturday mornings at their local university, college or museum discovering subjects they love. Saturday Clubs are open to 13–16-year-olds of all abilities and are free to attend. Joining the National Saturday Club is a unique opportunity to learn new skills, discover talents, meet new people, and find out more about further education, higher education and rewarding careers.
PLACED Academy was launched in 2019 to provide free-to-access creative programmes about the built environment for 14–18-year-olds from across the Northwest, empowering young people to shape the places we live, work, and spend time.
