The Future Leaders Programme for Christites (FLPC) is a one-year leadership development initiative designed to cultivate student leaders at Christ University. The program emphasizes personal and professional growth while aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through residential workshops, online coaching, and structured mentorship, participants gain practical experience in leadership, strategic decision-making, and resilience.
First Phase of Leadership Training
Day 1: Teamwork and Communication
The day commenced with a spark session by Dr. Jhonny Joseph, where students explored the importance of effective teamwork and communication. The session introduced the concept of role theory, emphasizing how different roles contribute to a team's success. Participants engaged in an activity called Tirolene Travels, which tested their ability to collaborate and adapt in dynamic situations.
Day 2: Ethics and Leadership Strengths
The second day began with a spark session by Fr. Jose CC, focusing on the ethical dilemmas and hard truths that leaders often face. Participants gained valuable insights into their strengths using the CliftonStrengths Finder, which helped them understand their unique leadership styles. The day included an interactive activity, Ball Sequencing Relay, which highlighted the significance of planning, coordination, and team synergy in achieving goals.
Day 3: Leadership Insights and Cultural Exchange
The third day featured a spark session by Ms. Madhu, covering diverse leadership styles and interpersonal dynamics. The evening culminated in a vibrant Cultural Night, where participants showcased their talents, fostering a sense of community and mutual appreciation among the future leaders.
Day 4: Conflict Resolution and Reflection
The final day focused on conflict resolution and decision-making strategies. Students participated in discussions and activities designed to enhance their problem-solving skills. The camp concluded with a comprehensive reflection session, where participants shared their experiences and key takeaways from the training.
