Student Booth

Bangalore Central Campus

The Student Booth, set up by The Student Council of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), aims to provide a platform for freshers to ask questions and get better assistance on their first step towards becoming a Christite. The booths were set up inside Block I and Block IV of the Bangalore Central Campus, Hosur Road. The incoming students of the batch of 2023 were welcomed by representatives of The Student Council with stalls filled with information about the university and frequently asked questions. New students asked their seniors about various rules and regulations of the university, the student handbook, the location of various departments, information about various clubs and student bodies, and most importantly- their experience in the university as a council member! The booth provided first-year students with a formal in-person platform to ask their queries and get better guidance for their academics and campus life at CHRIST. Overall, the turnout for the booths was in the hundreds, and students appreciated the efforts made by the council representatives to provide them with accurate information.

Bannerghatta Road Campus

The Student Council of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta Road Campus was set up on the 10th of July in two blocks. Incoming students and their parents asked questions at these stalls. Council members were available to answer questions on everything, from how to get to the main auditorium to thorough descriptions of the curses available on campus. There were small entertaining activities offered for incoming students in the booths, such as expressing their first impressions of CHRIST on a manifestation board, making commitments to themselves on postcards, and randomly selecting affirmations from a bowl. A picture booth was also present near the student booths. On July 11th, a single student booth was placed in the Audi block, with council members available to freshers. Members of the student council also provided extensive information on the organisation at the booth. Similar slots for the student booth were held on July 12th, 14th, and 15th.

Yeshwanthpur Campus

The Student Council of The Bangalore Yeshwanthpur campus of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) organised student booths to address incoming students' questions. First-year students arrived on campus with many questions about the rules, regulations, campus life, opportunities, groups, classes, and time, among other things. On the day of the inauguration, several students and their parents inquired about the location of their classes to which Council members provided classroom numbers and locations. The questions of freshers included the university's attendance policy, i.e., a minimum of 85%, attendance about extracurricular activities, location of various centers and offices, and information on various clubs and student bodies of the university. A few students inquired about the campus's transportation facilities. The council members had an incredible time clearing up their concerns and establishing an environment in which they felt comfortable and at home. They made an effort to connect with the students such that they felt protected and excited. Finally, the council members requested that the freshers contact them if they had any questions or concerns.
