Bangalore Central Campus 

On the 5th of September, 2023, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) - Bangalore Central Campus Student Council, in collaboration with The Student Welfare Office (SWO), organized a celebratory program for Teachers' Day.
The SWO hosted a central event in the university auditorium for all faculty members. The Student Council took the initiative to organize department-specific celebrations, fostering a more intimate atmosphere. To express gratitude, The Student Council presented each department with customized cups and additional gifts for their teachers. Working towards the goal of sustainability and zero waste, The Student Council's gifts were reusable cups that can be used by faculty for their everyday use on campus.The department-level celebrations included engaging games and cultural performances, creating a fun and interactive environment for the faculty. Refreshments were also provided to ensure a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the teachers. This collaborative effort by The Student Council and SWO ensured a successful and memorable Teachers' Day celebration, acknowledging the valuable contributions of the university's esteemed faculty.

Bannerghatta Road Campus

The event was initiated by a song performance from NCC. There were different games, like Tug of War and Relay Race, planned for the teachers. Teachers and students alike took part in the interactive activities. A flash mob was initiated by the students followed by games and a dance performance, cherished by the faculty. Immediately after the performance ended, they were encouraged to join the dance by the students, concluding with a jam session enjoyed by all. There was a cake-cutting ceremony facilitated by the respected Dean along with all other faculties from different departments. Following this, various stalls were opened, which included games for the teachers to explore and interact with. Lunch was provided to all faculty members present as part of the event’s hospitality. A token of appreciation in the form of a gift bag was provided to all the faculty members, which included personalized sketches of them with inscriptions on the back, one small potted plant, a postcard with a personalized poem, a bookmark and a small cup/mug designed with specific inscriptions (which the faculty could use for getting beverages on campus, reducing the use of paper cups following the zero waste policy of the institution).

Bangalore Yeshwanthpur Campus

5 September 2023 was observed as Teachers' Day to honour the Bangalore Yeshwanthpur Campus' teaching staff. The celebration began with booths set up by The Student Council members to get teachers involved in enjoyable activities. Following that, all of the teaching staff, together with Campus Administrator Fr Vinod Micheal, Campus Director Dr Fr Benny Thomas, Assistant Director Dr Fr Biju K.C., and Campus Dean Dr Joby Thomas, graced the event hosted by the Council and SWO. An invocation hymn by the university choir was played when the hour-long event began with the lighting of a lamp by an honourable guest. The following event was the Council’s Investiture Ceremony after which Dr Fr Benny Thomas addressed the crowd and discussed the importance of teachers and their part in students' lives. Subsequently, Aditi, a member of the Student Council, addressed the crowd and provided insight into the event from the student's point of view, as well as highlighted its historic significance.This was followed by a mime by Tip-Toe Productions that illustrated the relationship between students and teachers and the feelings that arise when students realize they must take on the role of teachers.  Following, Dean Dr Joby Thomas' address continued to convey the performance's significance and sentiment. The university dance team, Natyarparna, then gave a captivating performance, and the occasion was wrapped up with a beautiful performance by the university choir that served as a tribute to the professors.

Bangalore Kengeri Campus

The auditorium at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Kengeri Campus, buzzed with excitement as students and faculty gathered for a special Teachers' Day celebration. The Student Council emcees warmly welcomed everyone, and the CHRIST University Choir kicked off the event with a melodious performance that set the mood for the day. Following the uplifting music, Dr Sriram, Academic Coordinator of the BBA Department, delivered a heartfelt message that resonated with the audience. The Student Council then expressed their gratitude to the faculty, acknowledging their dedication and passion for teaching. This heartfelt message was met with a standing ovation from the students.
Dr Fr Shijin, the President, delivered a captivating speech that highlighted his gratitude for colleagues, his experience as an educator, and his love for students. The program then took a creative turn with a series of oratory performances. The audience was enthralled by the exceptional bands, DHWANI and VISMRIT. DHWANI's soulful harmonies and VISMRIT's distinctive sound transported the audience on a musical journey. Solo performances by Dr Shruti and Dr Debora added a touch of personal connection, leaving a lasting impression.
One of the most anticipated events, the investiture ceremony, saw the welcoming of new student council members. The esteemed fathers of the institution administered the oath, and the newly elected members pledged to serve the university with honesty and integrity.
The celebration continued with a vibrant display of talent. Faculty members showcased their hidden talents, followed by a captivating dance performance by Dr Mausumi. The university dance team, Natyarpana, mesmerized the audience with their exquisite choreography and grace. The final performance by the dance team 'Rowdra' brought the series of captivating acts to a close. Dr Divya Sudaram, Coordinator of the Department of Psychology, delivered a thoughtful vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event's success. The celebration concluded with a High Tea for the teachers.
This heartwarming event served as a testament to the deep respect and appreciation students have for their teachers. The day's program, filled with music, speeches, performances, and investiture, created a lasting memory for all who participated.
