How does my student make a schedule/class change?
CHANGING OR DROPPING A CLASS:
Class changes cause major disruption to classroom instruction and student learning. There are very few instances when a class change will be allowed. Changes are made for data processing errors, improper placement, or to meet a graduation requirement.
Student initiated changes must be made within the first week of the Spring semester. Changes made after the first week must be initiated and agreed upon by teachers, parent and counselor. The last day to drop a class with no penalty is 1/20/2026. After 1/20/2026 the class will be dropped with a fail grade (“F”) for the semester, posted to the student’s transcript. The “F” grade will impact both the GPA and athletic eligibility.
If it is with in the first week of Spring Semester, request change HERE.
If after first week in semester but before Jan. 20, 2026 student needs to schedule an appt with their counselor HERE.

What to do if a student is having difficulty in a class?
The first person a student or parent should contact is the classroom teacher. The student, teacher and parent can work together to create a plan for the student’s academic success. Teacher contact information is available in the STAFF DIRECTORY on the schools website. Take a look at the Panther Supports offered at CHS.
How do I contact the classroom teacher?
The best option to contact teachers is via e-mail. Email addresses can be found on Aeries and at STAFF DIRECTORY on the schools website. Also, contact teachers by calling 891-3026 where you can reach all of our teacher’s voice mails.
