Intra-District Transfers (Form 10s) are utilized by parents who currently reside within Chico Unified School District and wish to have their child attend a school of their choice rather than their neighborhood school.

Inter-District Transfers (Form 11s) are used for students residing outside of Chico Unified School District, but who meet residency requirement that may allow them to enroll in a Chico Unified School. The Intra-District Transfer form must begin with the school district you currently reside.
How to complete an Inter-District Transfer (Butte County)
Start with your home school district (the district you live in). Request an Inter-District Transfer Request Form from your resident school district office or website.
Complete the form and submit it to your home school district for release. Your home school district reviews the request and either approves or denies the release.
If approved, submit the signed form to the school district you want your student to attend. Example: If you live outside Chico Unified and want Chico High School, submit the approved form to Chico Unified School District (CUSD) Student Support Services.
The receiving district reviews for space and program availability. Approval is not automatic; districts accept students only if space is available.
Wait for the final decision from the receiving school district. You will receive written notification of approval or denial by email from Chico Unified School District.
