A resume is a summary of your experiences, activities, and skills. Keeping a record of your involvement in school, sports, clubs, volunteering, work, travel, and other activities is important throughout high school.
You may need a resume when applying for:
College applications
Scholarships and special programs
Jobs or internships
Letters of recommendation
Leadership opportunities or summer programs
These forms include helpful prompts to guide you in creating a complete and organized record of your experiences. Keeping this information updated will make it much easier to apply for opportunities as they come up during your high school career.
A letter of recommendation is a letter written by a teacher, coach, counselor, or other adult who knows you well. It explains your strengths, achievements, and character. You may need letters of recommendation for college applications, scholarships, programs, jobs, or other opportunities.
When you ask someone for a letter of recommendation, they will need information about you to help them write a strong letter. Please complete the Senior Profile, below, before asking for the letter, and be sure to give your recommender at least two weeks to write it.

The ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) is a FREE career planning resource available to high schools nationwide. It is designed to help students better understand their strengths, interests, and potential career paths, whether or not they are considering military service.
The program includes the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), one of the most widely used multiple-aptitude test batteries in the world. The ASVAB measures skills in areas such as math, science, reading comprehension, and technical knowledge, helping students identify where their abilities may align with different careers.
In addition to the ASVAB test, students complete an interest inventory that explores what types of work environments and activities they enjoy. These results are matched with a comprehensive occupational database that includes both civilian and military career options, giving students an in-depth look at a wide range of career possibilities.
