Apprenticeships

What is an apprenticeship?

A youth apprenticeship is defined by NC Apprenticeship as an industry driven education and career training program based on recognized industry standards. It is a partnership among business, industry, education, government, parents, and youth apprentices.

Benefits of an apprenticeship

Apprenticeship programs allow students to learn on the job.  Apprentices often receive free training while also being paid for their work.  There are many apprenticeship programs to choose from, and these programs are growing as there is a shortage of skilled labor workers.
