Mr. Ballard was named runner up for NC CTE Teacher of the Year! Well deserved! Mr. Ballard has built a solid automotive program for the CHHS community.

Big News from the Fire Academy!
Durham Fire’s Hazmat Team recently joined our Fire Academy students for some training and equipment demonstration. “A huge thanks to Captain Tong and his team in Durham FD Hazmat. They came to the school to show off their resources and equipment, allowed our students to get hands-on experience with the equipment, and finished with a realistic drill. Developing these partnerships allows our students a direct and technical look into the profession by those that are in it,” remarked Fire Chief and instructor Travis Adkison. This is just another example of the hands-on learning taking place in our CTE classrooms.
