This week, our Year 10 students put their life skills into practice by cooking spaghetti bolognese from scratch. Using fresh carrots, celery, and quality mince from the local butcher, they created a rich, flavourful sauce while learning how to prepare a family meal independently. A valuable step in building skills they can use well beyond the classroom.

Our Year 9 and 10 students had an incredible day taking part in a hands-on engineering workshop led by Smallpeice. Students were challenged to design and build their own wind turbines, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The highlight? Putting their designs to the ultimate “hair dryer test” to see if they could generate power… and they did. A huge thank you to the team at Smallpeice for delivering such an inspiring and engaging experience.
