Week8: TEKS 5.1B Use standard terminology in explaining music

I can: Analyze dynamics in new music with unfamiliar instruments

1. Introduction: You may have already talked about dynamics in class, but this time we are going to apply it!

2. First, check out the attached worksheet and remember as much as you can about dynamics.

3. Second we will listen to a piece of music called Concerto in Bb by George Friedrich Handel.

4. Take a piece of paper, and answer some of the questions about the music.

A. Name some instruments you hear.

B. Is the music quiet or loud, or in between? Write a dynamics word that describes if the music is loud or soft.

C. How does the music make you feel?

5. Email your answers to your teacher!
