I can: create a tessellation and see how mu shape fits together
Introduction: In this lesson we will create a piece of art using tessellations. A tessellation is a series of shapes closely fitted together. In our case we will be using a tessellation to make a monster pattern on a piece of paper. Here is what you will need:
2 pieces of paper
Scissors
Tape
Colors (markers, crayon, pencils, just whatever you have)
A ruler
The instructions for the project are found below. A note before we begin, it specifies some special paper and materials, please do not feel that you need them you can do this with ordinary printer paper.
If you’d like to share your portraits with us, send a picture to your teacher’s email. We’d love to see your art!
