Tiger Prep

Tiger Prep supports Chagrin Falls students who have or are eligible for an IEP or 504 plan. Through collaboration between parents, educators, administrators and community partners, we advocate for the unique needs of our students, while encouraging an inclusive Chagrin Falls Schools environment.

Scholarship:

Tiger Prep will award a $500 scholarship in the spring of each school year to 1-2 students for use in the pursuit of post-secondary learning experiences. For those applying for the Tiger Prep scholarship, you only need to complete the form below and obtain a recommendation from a Chagrin Falls staff person or administrator. This scholarship is for students on an IEP or 504 plan, and/or students who have volunteered with students with any kind of a disability and are interested in pursuing a career related to helping individuals with disabilities.

Awards fall under two categories:

1. A student with a disability who is pursuing higher education, vocational training, or an alternative educational experience beyond high school.

2. A student who may not have a disability but has engaged in inclusion efforts and is pursuing higher learning / vocational goals. An award is given in recognition of the student’s efforts to foster acceptance and community in the Chagrin Schools, along with a desire to pursue a career that will in some way help individuals with disabilities.

Students may self-nominate by submitting an essay on why they believe they should be awarded the Tiger Prep scholarship using the above category descriptions as a guideline. Students are permitted to submit an audio or video essay, or may request an interview in lieu of an essay.

In addition, Tiger Prep requires a brief recommendation from a Chagrin Falls Schools staff person or administrator. Please ask that person to send the recommendation to the email address info@tigerprep.org. Let them know that they need to send in the recommendation by Feb. 1st.

If you have any questions about applying for this scholarship please email us at info@tigerprep.org.
